About Me
Gabriel Carabulea, MD, brings 20 years of private practice experience to the San Clemente area. He has extensive knowledge in clinical research, palliative and supportive care and has a personal interest for conditions such as brain tumors, melanoma, lung cancer, and prostate cancer. Cancer screening and prevention are also his priority. Dr. Carabulea believes in "integrated medicine" which takes care of the body, the mind, and the soul at the same time. Dr. Carabulea makes each patient an integral part of decision-making and the healing process.
Professional Qualifications:
Dr. Carabulea is a Board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan as well as a Fellowship in Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation and High Dose chemotherapy at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. Dr. Carabulea completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Vernon Hospital in New York after receiving his medical degree from the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania.
Personal Interests:
Dr. Carabulea loves living close to the Ocean with his wife Dana, and their son, Alexander. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, hiking with his son, and skiing.
